93.243 -- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance
The purpose of this program is to support states and tribes with implementing youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies in schools, institutions of higher education juvenile justice systems, substance use and mental health programs, foster care systems, and other child and youth-serving organizations.
Eligibility for this program is statutorily limited to states and territories; a public organization or private non-profit organization designated by a State to develop or direct the state-sponsored statewide youth suicide early intervention and prevention strategies; or federally recognized Indian tribes or tribal organizations (as defined in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act) or urban Indian organizations (as defined in the Indian Health Care Improvement Act) that is actively involved in the development and continuation of a tribal youth suicide early intervention and preventionstrategy.
