    Description

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $15,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO is intended to enhance comprehensive HIV and TB services and systems in high-burden areas of Namibia by supporting facility- and community-based service delivery for TB, HIV, and related conditions. It will support the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS) to oversee and monitor government-led programs, including quality management (QM), mentorship, monitoring and evaluation, surveillance through routine data, and public health response. Comprehensive support through this mechanism will include: HIV service delivery for adult and pediatric patients; TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment; elimination of mother-to-child transmission (eMTCT); cervical cancer prevention, screening, and treatment; site level supply chain monitoring; laboratory systems strengthening; human resources for health (HRH); differentiated service delivery models (DSD); routine surveillance of HIV, TB, and related health conditions; and utilization of MOHSS health information systems (HIS). Expected outcomes will include: decreased incidence for HIV and TB; improved quality, access, and use of government health data; efficient health systems with an optimized workforce; consistent availability of critical commodities at the site level; full implementation of DSD models; and enhanced host government capacity to respond to HIV, TB and related health threats.
