    Description

    The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $6,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO aims to strengthen Kenya's health system by developing sustainable, accessible, integrated, and quality laboratory systems for HIV/TB and related health threats. Building on Kenya's HIV/TB program achievements, this NOFO aligns with the country's vision of universal health coverage and UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets. This NOFO is expected to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MOH), county governments, and PEPFAR-funded partners to ensure universal access to timely, high-quality diagnostic services for the general population, including people living with HIV.Key strategies include:Implementing quality assurance programsStrengthening sample referral systemsOptimizing diagnostic networksEnhancing equipment efficiencyLeveraging information systems for improved data management and patient trackingAnd ensuring adherence to biosafety and infection prevention standardsThe project will promote HIV/TB laboratory systems integration into broader healthcare systems and improving efficiencies through innovative approaches.To promote financial sustainability, this NOFO seeks to implement cost recovery models and promote local production of laboratory commodities. By building on existing HIV/TB program achievements, this NOFO will create lasting impact, supporting Kenya's journey towards stronger, more responsive laboratory systems capable of meeting current and future health challenges.
