15.808 -- U.S. Geological Survey Research and Data Collection
U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Powell Center is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partner for research on “Defining subsidy–stress gradients for metals and relevance for US surface waters.” The research project will gather data to conduct a synthesis of metal bioavailability in rivers and streams to explore spatiotemporal, taxonomic, and intra-metal variability in subsidy–stress gradients. Data will serve to develop a unified model for surface waters describing the biological role of metals from subsidy to stress.
This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. CESU’s are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be participating partners of the Great Lakes- Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit Program.
