15.808 -- U.S. Geological Survey Research and Data Collection
The US Geological Survey Water Mission Area (WMA) Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research on development in the field of camera-based water monitoring technology. A coordinated system of hardware and software is needed but nothing exists commercially that meets the needs of the water monitoring community. A camera-based water monitoring system that is scalable to a national monitoring network would meet mission of implementing innovative monitoring technologies and methods throughout the water monitoring community.
This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. CESU’s are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Colorado Plateau CESU Network.
