    Description

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $4,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO seeks to strengthen local capacity to provide quality, evidence-based, innovative, sustainable, effective, person-centered, and integrated HIV/TB prevention, care, and treatment services in alignment with Eswatini’s vision toward a sustained HIV response and PEPFAR’s 5x3 strategic direction. The recipient will work with regional, facility, and community structures to support direct service delivery, service integration, mentorship, quality improvement, and data use. Additionally, the recipient will augment laboratory diagnostics, commodity management, and health information system utilization at service delivery points. It is expected that the intensity of support will gradually decrease with the goal of transitioning facility level mentorship to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and/or other local entities over the course of the award. While investments should emphasize HIV/TB related interventions, they should be applicable and translatable to other program areas. The recipient will also be expected to build technical, program, and financial management capacity of local health institutions providing public health services under the managing authorities of faith-based, industrial, private, and other government and non-governmental entities to strengthen technical mentorship, management, accountability, and operational processes. Interventions and approaches should be informed through meaningful engagement with stakeholders and affected communities.
