    Description

    The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $25,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.Aligned with PEPFAR and South Africa HIV National Strategic Plan Priorities, this NOFO aims to support implementation of targeted combination prevention solutions and approaches for vulnerable high risk priority populations (including adolescents and young people) in workplace, schools, and community. The NOFO is expected to provide evidence-based interventions, through direct service delivery or referrals, and demand creation for uptake of HIV Testing Services (HTS), Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), condom promotion and distribution, risk reduction, delaying sexual debut for 9–14-year olds, family planning, STI, education and HIV care and treatment. Clinical and biomedical interventions include HIV testing and linkages to/provision of anti-retroviral therapy (ART), PrEP, and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), and a minimum package of post-violence care. Behavioral interventions under this NOFO include school and community based (in &out of school) social mobilization, empowerment, economic strengthening, gender norms change, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, and parenting programs.
