This document aims to describe EERE’s economic and environmental impact goals related to increasing product and material circularity and to communicate EERE’s work in advancing the approaches, strategies, and technologies that contribute to achieving those goals. It identifies opportunities, challenges, and enablers for advancing circularity as well as providing an overview of current efforts across EERE. Finally, this document provides a framework for prioritization of EERE funded research and development as well as a vision for future EERE activities related to product and material circularity. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit feedback from industry, academia, research laboratories, government agencies, and other stakeholders on issues related Circularity for Secure and Sustainable Products and Materials: A Draft Strategic Framework.
