    Description

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $5,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO will support Ministry of Health (MOH) to scale up the VMMC program through provision of direct service delivery and demand creation activities in selected districts, with Lilongwe being the focus district utilizing evidence-based demand creation strategies (e.g., human-centered design). Aligning with the PEPFAR guidance on minimum age for VMMC, the services will target men aged 15 years and above while prioritizing age brackets with higher risk (e.g. 25- 34 years) based on country's epidemiological profile. The service delivery approaches will include both static and mobile services through routine, outreach, and campaigns. Frontline health workers and lay cadres will be trained and regular supportive supervision and mentorship will be provided to ensure quality services. Provision of VMMC services will be based on the minimum VMMC package which includes HIV testing, STI screening & management, risk reduction counseling, condom promotion & provision, and VMMC procedure and post-op follow up. The recipient is expected to manage VMMC supplies and commodities to ensure sites are adequately stocked.
