      16.609 -- Project Safe Neighborhoods

    Description

    With this solicitation, BJA seeks applications for funding under the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Formula Grant Program. The PSN Program is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement officials, prosecutors, community-based partners, and other stakeholders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them. PSN is coordinated by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices (USAOs) in the 94 federal judicial districts throughout the 50 states and U.S. territories.

    Additional Eligibility Information

    Certified PSN Team fiscal agents for the federal judicial districts. All fiscal agents must be certified by the relevant district’s United States Attorney (USA). Eligible USA-certified fiscal agents include states, units of local government, educational institutions, faith-based and other community organizations, private nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofits), and federally recognized American Indian tribal governments (as determined by the Secretary of the Interior). For purposes of this solicitation, “state” means any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
