93.080 -- Blood Disorder Program: Prevention, Surveillance, and Research
Hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and other inherited bleeding disorders cause significant disease burden and reduced quality of life. The purpose of this NOFO is to collect and utilize surveillance data within the network of federally supported hemophilia treatment centers to inform policies and clinical practices. The NOFO will build upon the current surveillance infrastructure to characterize bleeding disorders, increase understanding of treatment practices and patterns, monitor inhibitors and other health complications, and identify causes of death among persons with bleeding disorders. The long-term outcomes are to reduce and prevent health complications and improve the quality of life of those living with bleeding disorders.
