15.808 -- U.S. Geological Survey Research and Data Collection
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Fort Collins Science Center (FORT) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research related to planning, implementing, and monitoring associated with restoration of riparian ecosystems in western North America. Research is to be focused on assessment of different approaches for restoring riparian systems, such as revegetating native species, managing water deliveries downstream of dams, controlling invasive species, and dam removal. Assessments may include not only the restoration approaches, but also the outcomes such as functionality of restored habitats in terms of wildlife habitat, recreation, or other resource management objectives.
This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. CESU’s are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Rocky Mountain Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program.
