In this 2024 opportunity, APHIS WS will make around $500,000 in cooperative agreement funding to control and prevent chronic wasting disease (CWD) in wild cervids, including the development and/or implementation of CWD surveillance, testing, management, and response activities on lands owned or managed by Tribal entities. The amount available will be based on the FY24 Congressional appropriations language and directions.
This competitive opportunity is open to the following entities, provided they have regulatory oversight or direct responsibility for wild cervids: Federally recognized Native American Tribal governments
