Divya Narala

Divya Narala joined Nevada GrantLab in May of 2024. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of community engagement and partnership development. With a strong foundation in public service, program development, nonprofit work, and political campaign management, Divya has played instrumental roles in driving positive change throughout her career. 

Divya and her family immigrated from India when she was 11 years old, and has primarily resided in Nevada for over two decades. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Divya began her professional journey as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Clark County Social Services where she gained experience in convening Southern Nevada’s homeless services stakeholders for regional collaboration efforts. Her subsequent role working for a Las Vegas-based nonprofit as an intensive case manager for the chronically homeless, further solidified her commitment to addressing pressing social issues. Soon after, Divya’s path led her to the political and legislative arenas, where she served as an Attache to the late Assemblyman Tyrone Thompson and later as the Assembly Education Committee Manager at the Nevada State Legislature. Most recently, Divya served as the District Director for Congressman Steven Horsford, where she oversaw strategic alliances, coordinated outreach activities, and ensured effective constituent services. Her proactive approach to stakeholder engagement has enabled her to navigate complex landscapes and drive collaboration for the betterment of Nevada communities.

In her spare time, Divya loves to cook, explore the outdoors, travel the world, and spend quality time with close friends and family, including her husband and two boys. Continuing her commitment to education, Divya earned her Executive MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in December 2024. She is also the co-founder of the South-Asian Women’s Alliance of Nevada, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization bridging the gap between mainstream resources and Southern Nevada’s South Asian communities. Driven by a passion for service, Divya remains committed to fostering meaningful change throughout Nevada.
