our Story
Founded in 2020, Nevada GrantLab was established to support nonprofits and their local government partners to effectively access and administer federal grants following the significant challenges they faced during the pandemic, with 90% reporting a decline in revenue. The issues facing nearly every nonprofit organization in Nevada included a decreasing number of donors, a lack of funding for critical programs, and fewer on-hand employees and volunteers.
Nevada GrantLab saw the importance of introducing innovative solutions to address this critical need by guiding nonprofits through the process of how to find grant funding, how to apply for funding, and successfully administer funding awards. By investing in these community-driven needs, Nevada GrantLab aims to uplift and serve Nevadans and local organizations through collaboration–giving back to underinvested communities by addressing this historical challenge and capitalizing significant opportunities for growth.

Nevada GrantLab makes expert capacity building, technical assistance, and grant services accessible to local nonprofits and public agencies. Thanks to generous philanthropic support and innovative public-private partnerships, we provide these services – which are often expensive and complicated – at no or low-cost to participants.

Partner With Us
2025 Sustainability Initiative
Partnered with the Nevada Community Foundation and the COVID-19 Task Force to offer intensive programming to strengthen organizational sustainability post-pandemic. Two cohorts benefited from personalized one-on-one coaching and group learning sessions with subject matter experts. In addition, organizations selected by participants received funds to support the execution of their sustainability plans.
$315,000 total Technical Assistance Services Value + $100,000 in grants.
Technical and Economic Assistance Program
Clark County’s Office of Community and Economic Development selected GrantLab as the lead technical service provider for all nonprofit recipients of Technical and Economic Assistance Program (TEAP) grants. GrantLab provided coaching to 22 Clark County-based nonprofits to help mitigate the impacts of the pandemic.
Key outcomes included:
- The program enabled Women of Strength to launch a new transitional housing program for homeless pregnant teens.
- Poetry Promise received grantwriting support to secure its first federal grant, the NEA Challenge Grant, helping the organization overcome post-pandemic budget challenges.
- Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions successfully reversed the negative impact COVID-19 had on its operations, strengthening its ability to continue serving the community.
Governor’s Office of Federal Assistance
Partnered with the Governor’s Office of Federal Assistance to organize a comprehensive all-state grants team training, held in both Southern and Northern Nevada, for state employees involved in grants management. This one-day training opportunity addressed a variety of topics, including recent updates to uniform guidance, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to enhance their grants management practices across the state. Nearly 450 state team members received the intensive training.
