Alee Moore, Ph.D., LMSW

As the Director of Learning & Professional Development, Dr. Alee Moore leads the overall strategy, planning, and execution of capacity building programs aimed at driving impactful results for social sector organizations. She oversees the development of training, leadership development, and other learning initiatives for nonprofits, while coordinating a network of national partners to support delivery.

A licensed, master-level social worker (LMSW) for nearly 20 years, Dr. Moore has worked with women in domestic violence and abuse, children in specialized foster care, and adults in chronic healthcare settings.  She is a co-creator of the Council of Social Work Education’s Curricular Guide for Social Work Licensing and Regulation.  She has served as a university faculty member and a Director of Field Education.  Prior to that, Dr. Moore worked with federally funded youth programs to help first-generation, collegebound students prepare for success in higher education.

In addition to her work as a nonprofit director, Dr. Moore applies her passion for promoting social and economic justice through community leadership roles, such as board memberships at Strong Start Academy Elementary School and the Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition.  She regularly engages in outreach with organizations that serve vulnerable communities to promote advocacy efforts and share best practices related to program administration.

Alee feels incredibly fortunate to be called mom by two amazing girls. She enjoys traveling, outdoor music concerts, and spending time with her family and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. sorority sisters.
