Rich Easter

Rich Easter joined Nevada GrantLab as the Director of Nonprofit Technical Assistance in January 2026. Rich began his career in public service in Washington, D.C. as a Program Manager for Reading is Fundamental – the nation’s largest children’s literacy nonprofit –  where he managed a portfolio of literacy grantees across eight states. He returned to the west coast in 2007 to join the hunger nonprofit, Feeding America San Diego, where he split his time leading the fundraising and program teams in order to distribute 16 million pounds of food to children, families, and seniors in San Diego County each year. 

Since relocating back to his childhood home of Las Vegas in 2012, Rich’s work has been focused on grant acquisition and management for public agencies. He has been responsible for over $750M in local, state, and federal funding for UNLV, the Clark County School District, and the City of North Las Vegas. As Director of Grant Administration for North Las Vegas, he built Nevada’s first centralized municipal grants office and led the city’s deployment of $42M in ARPA COVID relief funding. Prior to joining GrantLab he led a team of fundraisers, grant managers, and public affairs staff at the Southern Nevada Water Authority/Las Vegas Valley Water District. 

Rich’s expertise lies in federal grant compliance and systems building. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of San Diego and has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from UNLV. He lives with his wife/best friend Katrin and their two daughters, and spends his free time cooking, traveling, and in concert crowds.
